Kelvin J. Harris is the Founder and President of Lead Motivate Inspire Consulting, a consulting firm committed to creating, developing and equipping 21st century leaders  and agents engagements.

In addition, Kelvin serves as the Director for Leadership Development and Alumni Relations at UNCF where he is responsible for the strategic leadership of the student support services division for the Gates Millennium Scholarship Program, a 20-year, $1.6 billion scholarship initiative funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the nation’s largest scholarship program.  Prior to joining UNCF in 2011, Kelvin spent a significant portion of his career directly serving students on some of the most diverse college campuses in the country. Having been an active and engaged practitioner active in the field of student affairs and higher education for the last 13 years, Kelvin has been a frequent presenter and facilitator at local, regional and national conferences. As a practitioner and organizational leader, Kelvin is known for his shared leadership approach and his personal and business philosophy and motto, Lead.Motivate.Inspire – Lead Intelligently, Motivate Intentionally, Inspire Effortlessly.

Kelvin served as a  board member for the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Region II and African American Knowledge Community (AAKC). His board tenure also includes his recent appointment on the board for the Lead365 Foundation, and his recently completed six years of service to Eastern Connecticut State University Alumni Association  Additionally, Kelvin has also served as a planning member for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE), and a scholarship reader for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and United Negro College Fund-UNCF.

In addition to his founding of Lead Motivate Inspire, and his commitment to UNCF, Kelvin is also an active licensed Realtor in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. Kelvin  and is currently working on other entrepreneurial efforts with his family and business partners.

As a scholar-practitioner, Kelvin earned a bachelor degree in Sport & Leisure Management from Eastern Connecticut State University and the master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University and is working on his doctoral dissertation in Organizational Leadership at Northeastern University.

Kelvin is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc and is a native of New Haven, Connecticut and currently resides in the Metro Washington D.C. area with his wife and two children.
